Startup success stories like unicorns are exceptional. With their innovative approaches and significant achievements, these billion-dollar businesses have revolutionised our daily lives and this world. Examples include Zerodha, Flipkart, Hasura, Razorpay, Freshworks, Uniphore etc, which have progressed from humble beginnings to billion-dollar valuations.
Navigating the difficult terrain of becoming a unicorn entails overcoming critical obstacles such as securing solid funding and investment, adapting creatively to market diversity & competition, and effectively scaling up operations to meet growing demands.
In this competition, your task is to identify the startup with the highest potential to become the next unicorn by December 2025. Currently, India's startup ecosystem boasts around 2 lakh startups, out of which only 110 have achieved unicorn status. Now, it's your opportunity to discover the future unicorn.
This exclusive, invite-only competition is an initiative by YNOS to bridge the gap by giving students the opportunity to improve their analytical skills by applying their theoretical learnings in a real-world scenario to gain a practical understanding of the overall Indian startup landscape. As part this competition, all participants will have access to the YNOS platform which has about 2 lakh startups and provides detailed information and filters for easy identification and analysis of these startups. To access the database, participants need to register on the YNOS platform. YNOS is a key part of your journey in the 'Uniquest' competition. It's where you'll find all the startups to study and pick your potential unicorn from.
Teams have to submit only one startup as their future unicorn prediction.
The Future Unicorn startup chosen by the participants must be from the YNOS database startups.
Only startups founded in or after 2020 should be considered.
Startups that have raised no more than ₹100 Million in funding are eligible.
A team can have up to two members, participants cannot be part of more than one team.
Team members should be from the same institution and can be from different departments within the institute.
Submissions must be original work by the participants and free from any conflicts of interest.
Participants will be given a briefing about Uniquest. Those who want to make the most of it are encouraged to attend.
Each team is allowed to submit only one entry for the competition.
The decision of the organisers and jury will be final and binding on the team.
By entering this competition, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the competition material.
