About Amit Singhal
Amit Singhal is the Founder of Sitare Foundation and Sitare University, providing the under privileged children in India with the best in class education. He is an alumnus of IIT Roorkee and completed his Ph.D. from Cornell University in Computer Sciences. He joined AT&T labs and moved to Google subsequently where he served for 15+ years as Senior Vice President. His background includes research in the fields of machine learning and natural language processing on speech retrieval, document ranking, question answering, document routing & filtering and automatic text summarisation, with more than 31 research publications in these areas.
