About
Project Agricopter was initiated in 2018 by a group of students from IIT Madras who aimed to develop a technological solution for reducing farm drudgery and increasing automation in agriculture. With a focus on pesticide spraying, Agricopter's team, which included individuals from agricultural backgrounds, sought to address the harmful effects of chemical exposure on both consumers and laborers. The solution involved a drone-based system that automates the spraying process, eliminating human contact with toxic chemicals.
