About Croleon Innovation Labs
Croleon Innovation Lab is working on a project focused on developing a mechanism to enable intraoperative connection between a thin suture located outside the body cavity and a large atraumatic endo-grasper positioned inside the abdomen. This is intended for use in reduced-port laparoscopic surgery. In current laparoscopic procedures, surgeons typically use approximately five ports, each requiring a 5โ10 mm incision. Of these, two to three ports are often dedicated to organ retraction, usually requiring an assistant to hold retractor instruments in various positions.
