The project aims to develop low-cost aviation fuelling hoses for the delivery of Jet Fuel to aircraft in India. These hoses, made from composite materials such as rubber, polymers, synthetic fabrics, and metals, are also utilized for loading/unloading aviation products from road tankers or fueling tankers. Currently, India relies on imported fuelling hoses, but this project seeks to provide a local solution. Composite materials have a proven track record of durability and cost-effectiveness, making them an ideal choice for this application.
